TOI:Ready to run at 8,650 feet? Ultrawarrior Nainital returns

The Ultrawarrior Nainital is back for its fourth edition on May 22.
The third edition of the run saw more than 100 participants and this time, there are more than 120, says Arpit Srivastava, one of the organizers.
Among the more challenging ultras in India, this one takes place at a height up to 8,650 feet with total elevation gain of 3,200 metre.
The run is organised by Rungreen Foundation with an initiative to plant trees for every participant in the run.
“We keep limited entries for this run because of the technical terrain. We have runners from all across the country and overseas. We are also giving prize money to Top 3 male and females in 50 km and 30 km,” says Rizwan Siddiqi, another organizer
The categories are:
50 km run maximum (cut-off time is 10 hours)
30 km run maximum (cut-off time is 5 hours)
10 km fun run
Ultrawarrior Nainital is registered under the international trail running association which is an international body for trail running event evaluation.
